Darlington – Mrs. Moree Martin 85, of Lane House Nursing Care Center at Crawfordsville, died Thursday evening. She was a retired teacher, a graduate of Darlington High School and Indiana State University, a member of the Darlington United Methodist Church, Eastern Star and Montgomery County Retired Teachers Association. Born near Darlington on Aug. 11, 1892, she was a daughter of Francis and Martha Shumaker Craig. She was married to L.L. Martin of Jamestown in 1921, with whom she taught for a number of years. He died in 1967. Surviving are two daughters, Dorothy Eloise Lough of Darlington and Mary Esther Breidenbach of Crawfordsville; a sister, Rosalynd Mahan of Crawfordsville; a brother, Will Craig of Gary, five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by a brother. Services will be in Darlington Chapel of Burkhart Funeral Home at 9:30 a.m. Monday with the Reg. Reggie Monson officiating. Burial will be in Jamestown Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Sunday. The family has requested that memorials be made to the America Bible Society. -- smc
